This T-shirt is called “Night Butterfly.” In Native American traditions, the moth is often seen as a messenger from the spirit world, able to cross the veil between worlds. Its silent flight and ability to blend into the darkness make it a perfect symbol of communication with the afterlife. In China, the moth is sometimes associated with immortality and longevity, its metamorphosis reflecting the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Runes are at the very heart of our work, the idea being to bring the symbolic power that accompanies them to the garment. The Algiz rune is always present on each of our creations and to accompany it we have chosen the Gebo rune. You will find the descriptions below.
The appliqués and lettering on the front are hand-cut from a square of velvet.
