This hooded dress is called “Wings & Wild”. The hummingbird symbolizes resurrection and rebirth; its ability to fly backward evokes introspection and a return to the past in order to move forward more clearly. For the Mayan peoples, the hummingbird was a messenger between worlds, a bearer of wishes to the gods and a guardian of cosmic balance. The hummingbird is considered a spiritual guide, helping souls navigate between the different planes of existence. Runes are at the very heart of our work, the idea being to bring to the garment the symbolic strength that accompanies them. The Algiz rune is always present on each of our creations, and to accompany it we have chosen the Fehu rune. You will find the descriptions a little further below.


The appliqués and lettering on the front are hand-cut from a square of velvet.
